Liz Schofield

Overture

  • 1st

    Liz started learning euphonium and trombone while at Stratton Grammar school and then went on to study music at Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge, where she studied conducting as part of her degree.

  • 2nd

    After completing her Post Graduate year at London University she started to teach class music in Bedfordshire Middle schools. In 1985, Liz began working for Bedfordshire Music Service as a peripatetic Brass Teacher.

    Liz also enjoys folk music and performs with a Moggerhanger folk group "Home Brew".

  • 4th

    In October 1998, Liz began conducting the County Second Concert Band, taking them on three occasions to play at The Royal Albert Hall and on many tours in Britain and abroad.

    When the Concert Band and Second Band were amalgamated, Liz conducted this Band until 2015. She also conducts the East Beds Concert Band.
